I'm getting more and more excited about the reality that I'm going to have a whole new fresh start. A new town, a new home, a new setting, a new school, a HUSBAND :D, my own family
At the beginning, it was all really scary. I'm not the most amazing person at handling change. But things keep happening around here, some good, some bad, that have made me realize that a fresh start is the one and only thing thats going to help me grow as a person and move on in life!
I'm excited!!!!!
So today, we took a big step. I took daddy to see my dress today. He loved it and put the down payment on it :))))) It's officially mine....well once we pay it off he he
Okay, so i got a full day of babysitting four awesome, energetic kids that probably aren't gonna let me sleep in tomorrow so i should probably get some sleep sometime soon..

Probably about time :D
I FOUND MY DRESS :D YAAAAAAY! It was so awesome cuz i put it on and it was just like I don't want to try on anymore, this is it. I can't say anymore because Eric reads this blog :)
Um, I don't think there's much else to say. I miss Eric like crazy. No other planning has been occurring as of this week....although i'm sure there is something i need to be doing. But yeah. that's it

Snowed in
Today has been both good and bad (note: i say today, as in thursday, not friday which it currently is 4:44 in the morning but its still thursday to me because i'm still awake: end note)
The good: The snow is pretty. I got to sleep in. I got to stay in my pajamas all day. I didn't have to go my chemistry class. I didn't have to go workout for my fitness class. I had a day to get everything organized for my online classes and I got some homework and studying done.
The bad: I spent a good portion of the day trying to figure out if, when, and how it was going to be safe for Eric to get here and get home. Who the heck knows what the weather is gonna do (God) so who the heck has control of the situation (God) so who the heck doesn't have control of the situation and shouldn't have spent her day worrying about it (me). Okay, I get it. End result is that Eric will be heading this way around 9 tomorrow morning and hopefully, by the time he gets here, the highways will be clear and the backroads around here will be clear(ish). There's snow supposed to come in on Sunday, last I heard, PM. Just hoping it stays that way or he will have to leave early. Another bad point was that I was supposed to start my Electronic Health Records class today which I was actually looking forward to but of course it got cancelled as well. Not a huge deal. Another one....I felt really bad because when Eric and I were on the phone tonight, I really was just kind of out of it and didn't really say much. I want him here not there and I'm mad at the snow for stopping him from getting here. Hopefully, he'll make it here safely tomorrow and I'll snap out of it :) Another bad is that I haven't been real active today so I'm not tired like at all....and its almost 5 in the morning. After I finish this, I'm going to lay down for a bit and see if I can't sleep. If I can't, I'm going to get up and clean my bathroom (per mi madre's request)
I'm hoping to be able to make it to the gym tomorrow. I have delayed the start of my losing weight endeavor yet another day....and with less than five months to go until the wedding, its just not acceptable!
As far as wedding planning goes, we've got some minor things to take care of this weekend together like the building request for and picking out invitations (okay, so maybe that parts not minor). I, however, will be taking a chunk out of the planning on saturday....WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING :D I'm not sure if I'm more excited about finding my dress or getting to spend time with some of my favorite people!
Well, I believe I have said what I need to say and now I must try to sleep. Mind over matter :D

Long Week
Sorry to any avid readers of mine for not updating this week. It really was quite a boring week. No wedding planning going on and very little work. Thankfully, it was a great weekend that I was very prepared for. I left Thursday for Texas. Got there with not much trouble (just a little traffic), played racquetball with eric and his friends (good experience, but kinda funny), then we had dinner with his parents. On Friday, Eric had to work so I took the day to spend some time researching colleges. That was find. Didn't find out much other than where the college was. There are three campuses that I'm going to apply to and go from there. That night, we went to Cici's for dinner and then we went to see Riverdance....SO MUCH FUN! It's amazing what those people can do with their feet!!!! Saturday, we went to meet his Grandma which was nice. She is really sweet. We then just spent some time together talking and stuff and then went to visit his friends. On Sunday, we went to church then went to his aunt and uncles house (again, really sweet people) then we went and visit our first prospect of a house. Few minor negatives, but for the most part we love it! We're going to spend some time looking at a few other houses but really are liking this one. Then, we went to some friends house and had dessert and just hung out. It was a great day. Today, we had lunch and then I headed home. Just 5 more months until I get to stay :D
We have a lot on our to do list. I'm starting dress shopping next weekend. We've gotta get our services picked out (pictures, bakery, etc). We're still decided on invitations. The list goes on and on. We're really trying to enjoy the process and not stress out. I start classes tomorrow and I'm praying that i'll have some work so that I'll have money to travel to texas when need be. Needless to say, I'm going to be busy. Trying to keep my schedule straight and not stress out! I just keep going back and looking at more....I really should just sleep at this point.
Night ya'll

Here I am
I'm just sitting here reminiscing on the weekend. It was amazing. I'm sad its over and eric is headed home but I have Thursday to look forward cuz I get to go there :D
Yesterday was tons of fun! We started out by going to watch Morgan (my future nephew) compete in a swim meet in which he did very well. Next we attempted to go ice skating....that lasted like 30 minutes and then we realized that we are out of shape :)
Then we went and had lunch at chick-fil-a then we went to the bauers and played phase 10 and some random game on the xbox then we went and had dinner with my whole family.....Dad, Mom, Matt, Eric, Rickey, Michelle, Kenndra, AJ, Emma, , Matt, Kenny, and Gail! It was really great food and amazing company. We had a really great time. Lastly, we went back to the house I've been dogsitting at this week and took care of the dog and just spent some time together talking about our future life together (an amazing end to an amazing day!)
All I can say now is that I am an extremely blessed human being
Time to eat some lunch and get what I need to done so maybe I can sneak a nap in today before I start my like 24 hours marathon of babysitting :)

Productive day :D
I got to have a whole day with Eric today....yaaaay! It was amazing <3
We got an early start, out of the house by 9:30. We went to the bentonville square first. Went to the court house and got information about getting a covenant marriage license. We can't get it yet. It's only good for 90 days. We're definitely gonna get it as soon as we can because I've heard too many horror stories about couples forgetting that and not realizing until the day of! Next, we went to the Compton gardens. Somehow, I was under the assumption that they kept it up year round....but they don't. It was going to be an option of somewhere to take our engagement photos. Anyone have other ideas???? We have a few others like the bella vista chapel, the botanical gardens in fayetteville (but it costs), the fayetteville square (since that's where we got engaged!), any other downtown area. OPINION NEEDED :D
Then we had lunch at Red Lobster (YUMMMMMMYYY!!!!) and then we went and say How Do You Know (not what I was expecting but still a decent movie). Then, we spent the rest of the day walking the dog I'm taking care of, watching License to Wed and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, talking, researching wedding stuff etc. We looked into cruises for our honeymoon. Looking like we'll be taking a Carribean cruise. I'm so excited! It looks like so much fun!!!!! We also googled the unity sand thing...it doesn't look as cool as it sounds so we decided we're just gonna play around with the idea. Gonna get some sand at walmart tomorrow :)
Um, we've picked the music for the ceremony, but I think I'm gonna keep that part a surprise :D
We had a lot of good conversation. I'm so excited to be getting married!!!
Full day tomorrow so I better get some sleep!

It's Thursday!!!!
Eric is on his way....thank goodness! It was so hard to watch him leave last week so I've been waiting for today since the moment he left!
As far as wedding planning goes, I haven't done much this week. My guest list is getting closer to being finished. I'm so scared of forgetting someone!! Next I get to find addresses for everyone. I wish I could just put an invite on facebook and call it done hahahaha. I'm hoping to go look at dresses not next weekend but the next. I found one on david's bridal website that I think looks like something I would like but I really hate to buy it offline so I'm hoping they'll have it or something similar at the store. If we don't find anything here, we're going to go to Tulsa. Someone told us about a bridal outlet over there. While Eric is here this weekend, I think we're going to try and get a few things marked off the list. Not sure what all that will be yet though :) The more I talk to people, the more I'm liking the idea of going on a cruise for our honeymoon. I know Eric wants to and I was unsure of the idea at first but its sounding like a lot of fun now!
Um, I suppose that's all for now. I've gotta find something to do while I wait for eric to get here. It's probably gonna be like 2 and half more hours. I may take a nap, or clean, or play on the computer, or who knows really!
Thx 4 readin and feel free to comment!

No turning back
I went to NWACC today and had a meeting with the nursing director and explained my decision to withdrawl from the program. She was a little bit sad. I had to assure her that I had thought the decision through and that Eric was a good guy and then she told me she was very happy for me, just sad to see me leave. I am now enrolled in College Chemistry 1 (ahhhhhhhh :((), Music Appreciation (had to have a fine arts credit), Lifetime Fitness, Medical Terminology, and Electronic Medical Records. Good thing is that I'll only be in class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, leaving myself plenty of time babysit hopefully, maybe find another job (oh yeah, im done at starbucks officially. sad..kinda), and PLAN A WEDDING....YAAAAAAY still completely excited about this!!!! just 164 days and 14 hours!!!!!!
That's all that really happened today. Was a pretty blah day. I'm missing Eric lots....I mean LOTS. Looking forward to seeing him Thursday night and getting to spend the weekend with him. Excited about having dinner with my family plus some..."extended family :D"
Well, I suppose that's all I have to say. Gonna talk to my future hubby a little bit longer then get some sleep. I'm still not 100% recovered from being sick last week. Hoping for a good night of sleep tonight and a relaxing day tomorrow and hopefully I'll be close to 100% by Thursday!

1+1=1
I got to thinking today about the whole part where we are gonna take one life and add it to one life and get one life out of it. I'm so excited! But I also fear my selfishness wanting to interfere. How does this work? Thankfully, God knows my excitement and my fear and He answered this question in Eric and I's devotional tonight (thanks mom!) First, in 1 Corinthians 10:24, God commands that "no one should seek their own good, but the good of others" and then in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, IN HUMILITY value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others." So ALL I have to do is with complete humbleness, hold Eric's interests completely above mine. Sounds easy, right......okay maybe not. But, I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength!!!
Have I mentioned how excited I am????? Only 165 days, 13 hours and 20 minutes :D
Eric is starting to look into houses for us to look at when I'm there next weekend. I will also be meeting with an advisor at Dallas County Community College to get the admissions process started for school next fall. I'm feeling very confident and satisfied and excited about my decisions for this semester. I'll still be full time but it shouldn't be so stressful that I don't get to enjoy the process of planning this wedding!
One part I'm ready to have done...the guest list! I'm so scared of forgetting someone. I never knew how many people that I know!!! One part I can't wait for is registering for gifts. I don't remember why but I don't think thats top priority but I'm still really excited to get to do it hehe :D
Um, I think that's it for tonight. I've got a busy day tomorrow ending with my last shift at Starbucks :(
Hope everyone had a fantastic Monday!

Decisions
This last week and half have been completely bombarded with lots of decisions to make. I made a fairly major decision today. I will not be taking nursing classes this semester. After talking to the people at Dallas County Community College this morning (where I will be applying next fall), they said it is a rare occurrence for someone to transfer from one nursing program to another, so more than likely I will be starting over. Good news is that I will have this semester to do the prerequisites I need to apply there and once I get in there (hopefully in the fall or spring), it will only take a year because they have an accelerated program (aka no summer break). so I will only be extending my college time by a few months...totally worth it!
I'm excited. I was so productive this morning that my to do list is basically done for the day. Hoping to get to spend some time with my brother lately.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Wow!!!
My head hurts. I spent quite a while tonight talking out wedding stuff with mom and my brain is overwhelmed! I'm not stressing, but I am kinda worried about forgetting something.
Idea's for engagement picture places: Compton gardens (especially if it snows!), wampler's farm, the chapel, tanyard creek/waterfall (if it has rained).
Guest list is started. I've got alphabetized notecards with last names on them so i can keep track of names as I come up with more
Going to get the building use form turned in this week to make sure we actually have somewhere to have the wedding!
We've talked to both pastors about their roles. Need to define what exactly we want in the ceremony.
I've started taking prenatal vitamins (no, I'm not pregnant) and biotin to get my hair/nails healthy.
I think that's it.
I'm gonna take the rest of the evening off. Worst Cooks in America premiers tonight and I wanna watch it :)
Gonna start dieting and exercising this week...gotta look good for the big day and ultimately for my hubby :D

2 weeks
Ugh, I've dreaded this day for...well like two weeks. Eric was able to have two weeks off work for the holidays and spent all of that here with me. We've been together at least a few hours out of every day. We've gotten engaged, celebrated Christmas, rang in the new year, welcomed his new baby nephew into the world, seen a couple movies. eaten lots of good food, baked cookies, gotten sick, almost recovered, done some wedding planning, and just enjoyed being with each other. wow, we accomplished a lot and I really can't say it went but fast, but regardless, I'm laying here watching him sleep next to me (poor man is tired, gonna have to wake him up shortly and send him home) thinking about how hard the next 168 days are going to be. Every other weekend, that's about all we get to see each other. Hopefully, in January, I will get to go there at least one weekend. Regardless, the weeks in between are hard, really hard. I miss him. I miss him holding me. I miss the joy he brings to my heart. (tears are swelling up and he's still right here...ugh)
But really, that's just a bunch of emotional talk....
2:00-the time of the wedding.
That's all the planning we got done today I do believe
haha
Okay, so now i gotta wake him up and send him off so we can make it to church in the morning.

So Much!!!!
I have so much to talk about so lets go :D
It's official....we will be getting married on June 18, 2011
It feels so accomplished to have that down haha
In case anyone is curious...that's 169 days....woooowwwww!
I decided that I will be having a maid and matron of honor...because I can...and because i love them both very much :D
HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!! 2011 is looking to be an amazing year for me :D I turn 21 in 2 months and....oh yeah, I'M GETTING MARRIED (in case you hadn't figured that one out hehehehehehe). I love it, every once in a while, eric and I will just like at each other and be like we're getting married :D I don't think we're quite over the newness of that thought, which is great.
Resolutions........1) My primary focus this year is to grow myself as a person spiritually, emotionally, and mentally to be prepared to fill the role of a wife. I was thinking about writing this blog while I was driving and the thought in my mind was that I think one of the things God will be working on me the most about is my submissiveness. I believe I can do it, but I'm not sure it will always be easy, but with God, all things are possible!!!! 2) Lose weight so I can look great on my wedding day and just be healthier over all. 3) Stay focused on school so I can finish ASAP. 4) Plan this wedding the way I want it without stressing too much and just enjoying myself and the good times.
I think thats it for resolutions for now
So we've got the when, where, pastors, wedding party. I think next, we're getting marriage counseling arranged, guest list made, start looking for houses, picking out a photographer, getting engagement photos done, picking out music for the ceremony..........oh yeah, we did pick out colors- black and blue (lightish blue)
That's all I can think of for now. I know there's so much more but we're just trying to take it one chunk at a time, we do have 169 days..ha. I have 2 days of work left. I'm currently employed as a dogsitter and i've got two babysitting jobs next week. Monday, I start (random thought from the tv....we need to have board games in our house :D ) looking into schools. Oh yeah, and Sunday I gotta see Eric off :((((((((((((((((((((((((( not gonna be fun at all. Good thing is he'll be back next weekend and then I'm going there weekend after that. I'm excited to go there. We are hopefully going to see RiverDance and look at houses and hopefully visit a school or two!
Okay, wow. thats a lot. Hope everyone had a fantastic celebration of the new year.
Happy 2011
